Position Overview
We’re seeking a motivated and driven Public Relations Intern in our Austin office for our summer internship. The ideal candidate is pursuing an education in PR, marketing or communications (or a relevant field) with a strong interest in the food and beverage, hospitality and CPG industries. Summer internship positions are paid and last approximately 90 days.
What You’ll Be Doing + Learning in This Internship (Job Responsibilities)
Content Creation: Assist in the development of press materials, including press releases and media alerts.
Media Monitoring: Monitor press coverage for clients, and assist with creating press clips and updating press tracking reports.
Event Support: Assist in the planning and execution of client and industry events, such as grand openings and festivals.
List Management: Assist the PR team in updating media lists, annual offsite event lists, editorial calendars and more.
On-Site Presence: Attend client and industry events, TV segments and photoshoots (encouraged but not required).
Admin: Support day-to-day administrative tasks within the PR department.

Summer Availability: This feels obvious if you’re applying for a summer internship, but it must be said!
Education: Attending school or recently graduated with a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling public relations materials (i.e. client bios, press releases, event listings, etc.).
Media Savvy: Familiarity with media outlets and content creators relevant to the hospitality industry in Austin.
Organizational Skills: Strong research and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Networking: Comfortable attending industry and client events.
Passion for Hospitality: Genuine interest in the hospitality industry, including food, beverage, hotels and CPG.

Location: You must live in Austin at the time of internship application. While we operate on a hybrid office model, this temporary position requires in-person team collaboration and client events.
