Laila Bazham
Nochebuena at Barlata

Chef Laila Bazahm, formerly of Eberly, is popping up at Barlata for Nochebuena, a Spanish Christmas Eve dinner. Nochebuena, meaning “Good Night,” is common in Latin America and the Philippines, two places Chef Bazham holds near and dear to her heart. Chef Bazham curates the menu with creative intent and likes to take the guests through an experience as they eat. The seven-course menu consists of dishes such as dry-aged beef tartare with cured yolk, Dijon emulsion, truffled churros, and parmesan, and Braised short rib with cap i pota emulsion, broccolini, charred carrots and a Fino reduction, with other dishes to compliment and complete the tasting menu. Reservations can be made through Tock. Dinner will go from 5-10 p.m.

Miracle on 5th

The Eleanor is happy to host its 6th annual Christmas-themed activation, Miracle on 5th Street, this holiday season. Perfect for a date night or night out on the town with friends, family, or coworkers, this Christmas extravaganza will surely put you in the spirit for all things holly and jolly. The menu of holiday-inspired cocktails ranges from favorites like the Christmapolitain with Grey Goose Vodka, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Noilly Prat Extra Dry Vermouth, Spiced Cranberry Sauce, Rosemary, Lime, and Absinthe Mist to the Jingle Balls Nog with St-Rémy Signature Brandy, Lustau East India Cream Sherry, Almond Milk, Cream, Egg, Vanilla, and Nutmeg. Be sure to get your picture taken on Santa’s throne and take in all of the Christmas wonder that is Miracle on 5th! Tickets are available for purchase here

Donn’s Depot

The year-round Christmas themed bar amps it up during the holiday season with more decor and Christmas cheer than the remaining months of the year. Dons Depot has been a part of the Austin community and music scene for decades and continues to bring joy to old and newcomers alike. Gather around the piano and strap on your dancing shoes while you dance along to Christmas anthems while you sip on a holiday-inspired cocktail available during the holiday season. All of the regulars are still available along with merch and non-alcoholic beverages as well.

Mozart’s Coffee Roasters

One of Austin’s most beloved coffee shops on the water is one of the best places to celebrate the holidays. Mozart’s Coffee Roasters is home to a Christmas Light Show that will be sure to blow you and your loved ones out of the water. Converting from the usual coffee shop that is usually there the remaining months of the year, Mozart’s turns into a viewing place for one of the best light shows on the water that Austin has. Tickets are available online with different viewing options available per preference.
